Special Issue Category

Special issue themes will be determined each year by the Editor(s)-in-Chief and Managing & Special Issue Editor. Each article that is published in the special issue category will appear in addition to the articles considered for standard submission. The special issue topics will be released each year with the call for submissions.

Your work will not be considered for this category 1) if your intended submission category is not clearly stated at the time of submission or 2) if the topic of your submitted work is not directly related to the themes.

Submissions for this category can take the following forms:

  • Manuscripts

  • Notes

  • Op Eds

  • Alternative policy writing

  • Photo essays

Authors should note that the same criteria for quality, originality, and significance for regular articles or notes also apply to articles in the special issue category. For specifications, refer to the Submission Guidelines.
